This is a reminder that our upcoming maintenance period will begin on Monday, July 25, 2016 and run until August 22. During this time, many of our systems will be unavailable, including:

• Lustre - unavailable July 25 - Aug 21
• Spear - unavailable July 25 - Aug 21
• HPC - unavailable Aug 7 - Aug 22

Virtual servers will not be affected. The availability of the Panasas system will be limited during this time; however, files can be copied to and from Panasas via Globus (see https://rcc.fsu.edu/docs/globus).

We have made a small test cluster available if you wish to test compiling and submitting jobs using the new software:

• Intel compilers v16.0.2
• PGI 16.3
• GCC 4.8.3 (will remain the same)
• openmpi 1.10.2

You can login to the test cluster using the following addresses:

ssh [YOUR-LOGIN]@hpc-tc-login.rcc.fsu.edu
ssh [YOUR-LOGIN]@hpc-tc-spear.rcc.fsu.edu

The cluster includes a single Spear node, and 8 IB-connected 8-core compute nodes. We recommend that you submit all jobs in the test cluster to the "genacc" or "quicktest" partitions. This test cluster will not accept large jobs and is for testing purposes only.
