BASH "Shellshock" Vulnerability

Greetings all RCC Users,

Security experts have recently uncovered a major BASH vulnerability, nicknamed "Shellshock". This affects several major distributions of Linux, including RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, and others. RCC uses all three of these distributions, and has determined that the version of BASH installed is vulnerable.

Our Systems Tteam is right now in the process of patching this vulnerability on all of our servers, and will have all servers upgraded today.

For users of our "SKY" system, we strongly recommend that you patch your VMs. Instructions for doing so for various Linux distributions are on the US-CERT website.

Check out the RedHat Security blog for more details about the vulnerability.
