Systems Maintenace Saturday (Feb 10) - License Manager, VPN, and Websites

UPDATE February 12 - 9:30am - All maintenance is complete, and all services were reported online this weekend.  Let us know if you have any issues: support@rcc.fsu.edu.

UPDATE February 10 - 4:30pm - VMs, website, and license manager are back online.  However, due to an expected scope change in the work, we are now currently experiencing issues with the HPC.  The Systems Team is onsite and working on the issue.  Additionally, there may be further website and VM disruptions before work is complete.

We will post updates as we have them.  Thanks for your patience.

This Saturday, February 10, from 9am until 5pm, we will move our virtual machine cluster from Dirac Science Library to the Sliger Data Center. This will affect the following services:

  • Licesnse Manager - Certain licensed software will not work during the maintenance period. This includes Intel Compilers, TotalView, MATLAB, and several department-specific packages. Jobs or processes that use these may not work until the maintenance is complete.
  • HPC VPN - The HPC VPN endpoint will be offline during the maintenance. However, if you have an FSUID, you can use the FSU VPN to connect to our services during the maintenance. Simply enter vpn.fsu.edu instead of vpn.fsu.edu/hpc as your VPN endpoint in the AnyConnect client.
  • RCC Websites and Account Services - The RCC Website, documentation, and account management tools (rcctool) will be unavailable during the maintenance.
  • Certain SKY VM Customers - These customers will receive individual emails.

The HPC, Spear, and all storage systems will remain online and available during the maintenance. Since our website will be offline on Saturday, you can get updates and communicate with us in real-time using our Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/fsurcc.

If you have any questions or issues, please let us know: support@rcc.fsu.edu.
